Winnie Lau is a Partner at Strobe and focuses on consumer crypto, DeFi, and AI. She began her career as a strategy consultant and, prior to Strobe, was a Principal at BlockTower VC, a crypto-native asset management firm. Growing up in Hong Kong and Guangzhou during the early days of the internet, Winnie saw firsthand the ability of technology and innovation to transform not only the socioeconomic landscape in China but also the consumer behaviors and culture of society. As such, she spent most of her early career exploring new consumer technologies and primitives. Winnie studied Business Administration at UC Berkeley and received her MBA from Columbia Business School. After spending time across Asia and in San Francisco, she now lives in New York City with her husband.
